Donating Your Eggs Can Make a Difference

Donating your eggs involves having eggs that your body would typically discard retrieved for use in in vitro fertilization (IVF) by intended parents. This selfless act helps individuals and couples start their families. You’ll go through a thorough screening process and, if selected, a short but supportive medical cycle to ensure the best possible outcome.

Who Can Become an Egg Donor?

We consider all applicants on a case-by-case basis, but to become an egg donor, you must meet the following basic requirements:

  • Good general health
  • BMI: Less than 30 (not medically obese)

Create Your Electronic Donor Profile

After your screening, we’ll create a personalized donor profile for you, including photographs and personal details. This profile will be shared with intended parents via our online database. We may also invite you to participate in a photoshoot at no cost to you.

Number 3

Consult with a Medical Professional at Pinnacle Fertility

You’ll have a consultation where your medical history is reviewed, followed by screening. This may include ultrasounds, bloodwork, a psychological consultation, and a genetic assessment.

Number 4

Medical Cycle Preparation

If you are selected as a donor, you will begin birth control for 2-6 weeks, followed by hormonal injections for approximately 2 weeks. These injections help stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple eggs. The egg retrieval procedure typically takes only about 20 minutes.

How Long Is the Egg Donation Process?

The egg donation process typically takes 3-4 months to complete. After you are selected for a cycle, here’s what you can expect:

  • 1-2 months of medical screening
  • 2-6 weeks of birth control to prepare your ovaries for stimulation
  • 2 weeks of hormone injections to stimulate your ovaries and mature your eggs
  • Egg retrieval (a 20-minute procedure) to collect your eggs

After the procedure, you can return home and receive follow-up care as needed.

Donate Your Eggs Anonymously

Our frozen egg donation program is fully anonymous, and we take every precaution to protect your privacy. No identifying information is shared publicly. If an egg donor-conceived child requests contact at 18, you decide whether to connect—it’s always your choice.

Per ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) guidelines, donors can donate up to six times throughout their lifetime. If you choose to donate multiple times, you’ll need to wait at least 2 months between each cycle to allow your body to rest.
