Dr. Deirdre Wickham earned her medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She became board-certified in 1997 and practiced general obstetrics and gynecology from 1992 to 2021. After retiring from general practice, she joined IVF-MI in 2024.
With more than 30 years in women’s health, Dr. Wickham brings a patient-centered, collaborative approach grounded in evidence-based medicine and best practices. She strongly values patient autonomy and informed decision-making and takes pride in building meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients. Throughout her career, she was deeply involved in resident education and training, reflecting her passion for teaching and mentorship.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Wickham enjoys life with her two horses, three dogs, and granddaughter. She has been married for 39 years to her husband, Dave, who patiently supports her love of animals. She also enjoys tying flies for fly fishing—though she prefers tying them to actually fishing—and happily donates her creations to anyone who would like to use them.
