Dr. Brandon J. Bankowski, MD, MPH, is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist with extensive expertise in in vitro fertilization (IVF) and genomics. Since 2005, he has been an integral part of ORM Fertility, where he is dedicated to advancing reproductive care and helping patients build their families.
Dr. Bankowski is committed to improving the genetic health of his patients through education, comprehensive screening, and state-of-the-art preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). “We are at the intersection of genetics and the future,” he says. “Our ability to eliminate disease and enhance success is astounding. The advancements in this field will transform everything in the decades to come.”
Known for his calm and empathetic demeanor, Dr. Bankowski brings a unique perspective to his practice, having experienced fertility challenges firsthand with his wife. “Having been through miscarriage, multiple cycles, and eventually having twins has given me profound insight. It allows me to be more sensitive and understanding of what my patients are going through,” he shares.
Dr. Bankowski is also a researcher dedicated to improving outcomes in reproductive medicine. More recently, he authored a groundbreaking study linking specific periodontal bacteria to recurrent pregnancy loss, which was presented at an international congress in Prague.
Dr. Bankowski is passionate about providing exceptional care to both local and international patients. Alongside Dr. John Hesla, he has expanded ORM Fertility’s services to Europe and the Middle East, offering hope to individuals and couples facing barriers to parenthood in their home countries. “We meet incredible people from different cultures and experiences who, due to laws or regulations, are told they can’t have their own child. They come to Oregon, and we provide them with the opportunity to build their families. It’s one of the most rewarding aspects of our work,” he says.
