Dr. Iko is a dedicated reproductive endocrinologist and infertility (REI) specialist, bringing extensive expertise and a compassionate understanding of the emotional and physical challenges involved in fertility care. Her patient-centered approach is informed by her own experience undergoing fertility preservation, allowing her to connect with patients on a deeply personal level.
Dr. Iko earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University, and her medical degree from Brown University, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Davis. She served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago before pursuing her fellowship in REI at the University of Utah, where she also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI). Her research during her fellowship focused on the impact of poor air quality on fertility treatment outcomes, highlighting her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.
Dr. Iko’s clinical expertise includes treating infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and reproductive endocrine disorders. Her research explores disparities in infertility diagnoses and treatment outcomes, as well as the social and environmental factors influencing fertility. Beyond her clinical work, she is an active advocate for patient education and fertility care at the state and national levels.
