Dr. Lynn B. Davis knew from an early age that having children was very important to her—her biggest reward is helping others do the same. Recognizing that fertility treatment can be overwhelming, she places special emphasis on becoming an ally to her patients throughout their experience.
In 2008, Dr. Davis returned to her hometown of Seattle to be part of the growing SRM team. In addition to her clinical and teaching experience, Dr. Davis brought a special interest in medical decision-making, treatment plan cost-effectiveness, and evidence-based treatment strategies, backed by her Master’s degree in Health Research & Policy from Stanford University.
Dr. Davis developed and now leads SRM’s Fertility Preservation Program, which assists women who need assisted reproductive technology to efficiently delay conception. In this capacity, Dr. Davis works with patients about to undergo chemotherapy or radiation therapies (for cancer or other health conditions) that may cause infertility. SRM is especially fortunate to have their Fertility Preservation Program spearheaded by Dr. Davis, whose expertise in health policy, decision analysis, and evaluation of new technology are crucial to the special patient groups served by this program. Her clinical specialties include In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Oncofertility (the fertility needs of patients with cancer), and Oocyte Vitrification, an egg preservation technique.
Dr. Davis’s commitment to individualized, patient-centered care was evidenced early in her training, as she was named Most Likely To Be a Good Doctor by her fellow University of Colorado Medical School classmates. Later, she was awarded Outstanding Teacher of Obstetrics and Gynecology three years in a row by Harvard medical students during her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Harvard University’s Brigham & Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospitals. Dr. Davis also received the Robert Felix Award for Outstanding Performance in Psychiatry in 1999. In 2006, she was honored to receive the National Institutes of Health Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award.
She was recognized in 2018 – 2021 as one of Seattle Metropolitan Magazine’s Top Doctors.
Dr. Davis started her educational journey with a double major in Biology and Psychology from the University of Virginia, followed by her MD from the University of Colorado and OB/GYN residency from Harvard. She concluded her training with her REI Fellowship at Stanford University, where she also completed a postdoctoral Fellowship at the Stanford Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality, and served as Clinical Instructor in the Department of OB/GYN.
Dr. Davis sees patients at the Bellevue and Seattle locations. In her down time, she enjoys getting outdoors with her husband and two children—hiking, camping, and skiing are favorite activities.
