Dr. Susan Sarajari joined Dominion Fertility in 2015 after several years of practice in California and Virginia. She serves as the Medical Director of Dominion Fertility and sees patients in Arlington and Bethesda. Dr. Sarajari has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” for infertility by Northern Virginia Magazine and “America’s Top Obstetricians & Gynecologists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. She was also honored as “Top Educator of the Month” by the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Inova Campus. Fluent in German and medical Spanish, she helps families from diverse backgrounds achieve their dreams of parenthood.
Dr. Sarajari graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Microbiology. She earned her MD and PhD in Cell Biology & Anatomy from The Chicago Medical School, where she received multiple honors, including a scholarship for academic excellence. During her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA, she served as Chief Resident and earned the Resident Achievement Award and Best Resident Teacher Award. She also completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UCLA, where she conducted research in oocyte cryopreservation. Following her fellowship, Dr. Sarajari became an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Dr. Sarajari is actively involved in medical education. She is an Assistant Professor of Medical Education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Inova Campus. She mentors medical students and precepts at Inova Fairfax Hospital and Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA.
In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Dr. Sarajari’s expertise has been featured in the German publication Der Spiegel. With her multilingual skills and dedication to patient care, she continues to make a significant impact in the field of reproductive medicine.
